Management Training Program

Simon’s Corporate Training Program introduces graduate and undergraduate hires to core retail real estate business departments over a concentrated two year training period. Most Trainees begin training in Financial Operations or Financial Planning & Analysis. This dynamic, professional development program offers the opportunity for growth within multiple areas of the company, including but not limited to:

Corporate Management Training Program Qualifications include:

  • BS or MBA Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Real Estate, or related area
  • Minimum GPA: 3.3
  • Business related internship experience
  • Extracurricular activities and leadership experience
  • Strong professionalism and presentation skills




Mall
Management Training Program

Simon’s Mall Management Trainee Program is an exciting opportunity for graduating college seniors pursuing a career in Property Management at the largest REIT in the world. The Mall Management Trainee will support the Mall Manager with the primary responsibility of protecting and enhancing the value of our real estate assets. The incumbent will assist with identifying center objectives while learning how to translate those objectives into operations, marketing, leasing and other profit enhancing strategies. The goal of the Mall Management Training Program is to learn the role of a Mall Manager at Simon Property Group. Upon completion of the 9-18 month training program, the Mall Management Trainee is expected to relocate to an assigned Mall Manager position.

Mall Management Trainee Qualifications include:

  • BS or MBA Degree in Finance, Marketing, Property Management, Real Estate, or related area
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0
  • Previous management or leadership experience
  • Extracurricular activities and community involvement




Director of Marketing & Business Development Training Program

Simon’s Director of Marketing & Business Development (DMBD) Trainee Program is an exciting opportunity for graduating college seniors pursuing a career in Marketing and Sales. The DMBD Trainee will support the Director of Marketing with marketing and selling the assets of the mall to consumers, advertisers, marketing companies and the surrounding business community. The goal of the DMBD Training Program is to learn the role of a Director of Marketing & Business Development at Simon Property Group. Upon completion of the 9-15 month training program, the Director of Marketing & Business Development Trainee is expected to relocate to an assigned Director or Assistant Director of Marketing position at a Simon property.

Director of Marketing & Business Development Trainee Minimum Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0
  • Previous management or leadership experience desired
  • Extracurricular activities and community involvement
  • Ability to relocate




Internships

Simon Property Group offers both year-round and summer internships. Our Internship Program is designed to provide practical work experience and growth and development opportunities for retail real estate career minded college students. Internships are located at our corporate headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana. Interns will be exposed to the operations of our business, will assist with special projects, and will participate in a variety of assignments and tasks aimed at fulfilling the internship program objectives.
